Curathronine – L-Threonine

An essential amino acid (98.5% Feed Grade) for optimal gut health and nutrient absorption, and limiting amino acid in swine & poultry diets

CURATHRONINE (L-Threonine) is an essential amino acid, which helps to maintain the proper protein balance in the body.
It is involved in the metabolism of fats, the creation of proteins, the proliferation and differentiation of embryonic stem cells, and the health and function of the intestines.
Animal health and illness are strongly correlated with the need for and metabolism of threonine. It is important for the formation of collagen, elastin, and tooth enamel, and aids liver and lipotropic function when combined with aspartic acid and methionine.
CURATHRONINE deficiency can lead to fatty liver and even liver failure, causes emotional agitation, confusion and digestive problems.
It is believed by researchers to play an important role in the production of antibodies and overall immune function support.

BENEFITS

  • CURATHRONINE enables the animal’s amino acids requirements to be met while lowering dietary crude protein, which decreases nitrogen excretion and improves nitrogen efficiency without compromising performance.

  • It serves as a substrate for protein synthesis, particularly mucin.

  • It can enter the catabolic pathway, where it can be metabolized to a variety of important products (glycine, acetyl CoA, pyruvate) that play a crucial role in host metabolism.

  • It is commonly used in horses to support optimal gut health and nutrient absorption. Threonine is a building block of protein and one of the main limiting amino acids in horse diets, along with methionine and lysine.

  • It can prevent the formation of fatty liver and prevent liver failure.

DOSAGE & DIRECTION FOR USE

A 500 kg horse at maintenance requires 17 grams of Curathronine per day
When using in concentrate feed or premix, the dosage should be estimated based on the complete feed formulation prepared;
Or as directed by Veterinary Consultant
