Phytase

Phytase is an enzyme that increases the digestibility of phytate phosphorus, which improves the overall availability of dietary phosphorus.

Monogastric (Simple-stomached) species such as swine, poultry, and fish require extrinsic phytase to digest phytate, the major form of phosphorus in plant-based feeds.

It is a phytase enzyme that catalyzes the stepwise removal of inorganic orthophosphate from phytic acid.

It is a special kind of phosphatase enzyme which hydrolyses the phytase (plant phosphorus) in to six inorganic phosphates and inositol.

It is derived from a specially modified micro-organism to yield a stable and activity wise optimized product.

Phytic acid can bind to important minerals like iron and zinc. Phytase is used to increase the absorption of minerals like calcium, iron, and zinc.
Breaking down phytic acid helps to release iron and zinc so that the body can absorb them better.
